Pacific Flow Control is super excited to get awarded the Nanaimo 2021 hydrant maintenance contract. The boys are into their second week of painting now. Hot tapping without a valve. Who knew? Check out the 16×16 “no-valve” hot tap we did for the City of Kelowna on a DR41 PVC force main a few weeks ago to install their new downstream plug valve. Take a look at this 24″ Ø (600mm) x 14″ (350mm) thick hot tap on the concrete wall of a pressure chamber at Metro Vancouver’s Langley WWTP. Many people don’t realize that you can hot tap reinforced concrete walls and tanks; however, Pacific Flow Control sure can.
