The standard sleeve for quick, economical taps on all types of pipe, standard or high-pressure service. Most available of all sleeves in standard or special sizes. Available with reducing and size on size outlets, pipe sizes 6′ and larger.
Many customers take advantage of the optional Fusion Epoxy Coating and Stainless Steel 18-8 Type 304 hardware for enhanced longevity.
JCM 412 Fabricated Tapping Sleeve
Shop Coat Primer, Epoxy Coated Alloy Hardware Body: ASTM 283 Grade C, ASTM 285 Grade C, ASTM A-36 Steel or equal. Flange: AWWA C207 Class D, ANSI 150 lb. Drilling, recessed for tapping valve per MSS-SP60.
Optional flanges available upon request.
Gasket: Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR, Buna-N) per ASTM D2000. Molded virgin rubber with a pressure activated hydromechanical design.
Gasket is bonded into a cavity for internal and external retention.
Gasket temperature range -40°F to 212°F (-40°C – 100°C) Gasket suitable for water, salt solutions, mild acids, bases, and sewage. Optional gasket materials available.
Bolts: Corrosion resistant, high strength low alloy oval neck track head bolt per ASTM A242/ANSI 21.11/AWWA C-111 and heavy hex nut per A563 epoxy coated, Powercron 590-534.
Finish: Heavy coat of corrosion resistant shop coat primer.
Service Rating: 2″ to 12″
Outlets: 175 PSI. Higher service rating available for specific applications and sizes.
